Teens for Food Justice Recommendation

Welcome to the Students for Service Teens for Food Justice program. If you are a teacher or advisor recommending a student, you may submit your recommendation below.

Your recommendation is time sensitive. Applicants will be accepted to the volunteer team on a rolling basis until the 15 available spots have been filled.


Please provide a recommendation below (250 words max), outlining why this student is a good candidate for our year-long service-learning program. Project Schedule

The Teens for Food Justice program runs for the entire school year through June 2015.

All participants must be willing and able to commit to the schedule below at Bedford Stuyvesant New Beginnings Charter School, 82 Lewis Avenue, Brooklyn.

Service Days: October 18th, November 22nd, December 13th, with consecutive days following once a month until June, exact dates TBA. All major service days take place on Saturdays, from 9:30 – 3.
