The mentors and students took a trip to DeWitt Clinton Garden in the Bronx as part of GOAL’s healthy food access and urban agriculture curriculum. Our student volunteers led the GOAL children in fun and educational games and projects focused on the benefits of urban gardening, healthy eating, and food preparation. The mentors and student volunteers helped with planting organic vegetables, pest control plants, and landscaping. This event was the sixth in a series of monthly opportunities for volunteers to work with GOAL.
